Tórshavn Harbour. The basin to the left is called "Vestara Vág", while the right basin is called "Eystara Vág". The basins are separated by the small tongue of land called "Tinganes", where the Faroese government resides.
Tórshavner Hafen. Das linke Becken heißt "Vestara Vág" (westliche Bucht), während das rechte Becken "Eystara Vág" (östliche Bucht) genannt wird. Beide Becken werden durch die kleine Landzunge "Tinganes" getrennt, die nach dem Parlament, dem Lögting, benannt ist, und wo auch die färöische Regierung sitzt.
Tórshavns havn.  Havnebassinet til venstre kaldes „Vestara vág“, mens det til højre kaldes ”Eystara vág”.  Havnebassinerne bliver adskildt af en lille landtunge kaldet ”Tinganes”, hvor den færøske regering ”Landstýri” holder til.
Tórshavnar havn.  Vágin vinstrumegin rópast ”Vestara vág”, meðan tann høgra rópast ”Eystara vág”.  Millum vágirnar liggur Tinganes, har Landstýri heldur til.

The Northern part of Tórshavn called "Hoydalar". The buildings below the small grove belong to "Føroya Studentaskúli", the senior high school in Tórshavn.
Der nördliche Teil von Tórshavn heißt "Hoydalar". Die Gebäude unterhalb des kleinen Wäldchens gehören zur "Føroya Studentaskúli", dem Gymnasium von Tórshavn.
I den nordlige del af Tórshavn ligger „Hoydalar“.  Bygningerne ved den lille lund tilhører „Føroya studentaskúli”, gymnasieskolen i Tórshavn.
Í norðara parti av Tórshavn liggja ”Hoydalar”.  Í bygningunum við tað lítlu viðalundina heldur ”Føroya studentaskúli” til.

The stadium of Tórshavn. There are three football fields. The black building above the grassy football field is the swimming bath, while the white building on the right, and the red building below are the sports centres of Tórshavn.
Das Stadion von Tórshavn. Hier befinden sich drei Fußballplätze. Das schwarze Gebäude oberhalb des grasbewachsen Platzes ist das Schwimmbad, während das weiße Gebäude zur Rechten und das rote Gebäude unten die Sportzentren von Tórshavn sind.

Ítróttarøkið í Havn.  Har eru tríggir fótbóltsvøllir.  Svarti bygningurin omanfyri grasvøllin er svimjihøllin í havn, meðan tann ljóri bygningurin til vinstru er ítróttarhøllin á Nabb, og tann reyði bygningurin niðanfyri er Gundadalshøllin.

The area "Við Hoyvíkstjørn". The pond is called Hoyvíkstjørn. The squared buildings to the right of the pond were the Danish Navy Centre on the Faroes, the buildings now belong to the city of Tórshavn, and are going to be used as some kind of recreation facility.
Das Gebite "Við Hoyvíkstjørn". Der Teich heißt Hoyvíkstjørn. Die quadratisch angeordneten Gebäude rechts davon sind das dänische Marinezentrum auf den Färöern.
Området „Við Hoyvíkstjørn“.  Dammen i billedet kaldes „Hoyvíkstjørn“.  Den firelængede bygning til højre for dammen var Marinestation Torshavn, men er nu overtaget af Tórshavnar Býráð, som skal bruge bygningerne til rekreative formål.
Økið ”Við Hoyvíkstjørn”.  Fýra longdi bygningurin til høgru fyri tjørnina var Marinustøðin í Havn.  Húsið er nú keypt av Tórshavnar Býráð, sum skal brúka tað til okkurt slag av umlætting.

Das Krankenhaus von oben gesehen. Das niedrigere weiße Gebäude zur Linken ist das alte Krankenhaus. Das größere Gebäude zur Rechten ist das neue, das in den 60er Jahren gebaut wurde.
Hospitalet set fra oven.  Den lave hvide bygning til venstre er det gamle „Dronning Alexandrines Hospital“, mens den høje bygning til højre udgør det nye hospital, bygget i tresserne.
Sjúkrahúsøkið sæð omanífrá.  Lági hvíti bygningurin til vinstru er tað gamla ”Dronning Alexandrines Hospital”, meðan tann høgi bygningurin til høgru er sjálvt Landssjúkrahúsið, bygt í sekstiárunum.
